Job Title-Account Manager

Location: The preferred candidate will be living in Salt Lake City, Utah 

 

General Summary

CommScope’s Building & Campus business delivers end‑to‑end enterprise networking infrastructure—structured copper and fiber cabling (SYSTIMAX®, NETCONNECT®, Uniprise®), powered fiber and automated infrastructure management (imVision®). 
It focuses on high bandwidth, longer distances, smarter visibility/monitoring, faster deployment and large‑venue coverage—enabling connected, secure environments across offices, campuses, universities, hospitals, airports and other venues. This is an individual contributor field sales role, responsible for selling CommScope products, services, or solutions into the Salt Lake City, Utah area. 

 

Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop, analyze, measure, and communicate the strategy and create a business plan. 
• Drive top-line revenue through National and International accounts in the business environment (Sales pipeline creation).
• Expand understanding and knowledge of emerging trends and identify opportunities to increase cloud revenue.
• Position the business´ quick turn capability and technical solutions direct at the accounts and within the CommScope BU´s.
• Customer product portfolio management (roadmap, specifications, cost, and pricing).
• Main interface with CommScope Corporate Sales Force. 
• Daily support and follow-up of customer orders to guarantee fast delivery dates.
• Work closely with the Engineering and Operations Department for the creation of new products, specifications, and services to meet new customer inquiries. ·
• Work with Customer Service to create key account dashboards and trackers.
• Re-evaluate the pricing structure and catalog schemes to support the specific sales verticals.
• Grow their territory within their sales vertical through customer interactions.

Accountability / Impact

• Accountable for customer portfolio management (cost, specifications, pricing and roadmap) for the Building and Campus Business Unit.
• Prioritizing sales and customer relationships to meet assigned financial objectives while achieving product sales/solutions goals.
• Recommending the selection and development of distributors to respective regions.
• Achieving continued advancement in the marketplace.

Required Qualifications for Consideration:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or 10 years of industry experience in the Utah market. 
• Travel to Las Vegas every 6 weeks. 
• 2+ years of experience supporting and participating in team sales initiatives assembling and communicating pertinent information for assigned accounts.
• 2+ years of experience owning the entire sales cycle with outstanding customer-facing and presentation skills.
• Expert ability to establish and nurture positive relationships with existing customers and grow existing revenue streams.

Desirable Qualifications Job Specifications

• A completed bachelor’s degree
• Have familiarity with CommScope and our product set.
• Have experience in enterprise and Telco sales with a deep understanding of MSO.
